The Body Shop quickly paused all deliveries to Russia as of February 28th—and suspended all its business in Russia, including sales from brick-and-mortar stores and e-commerce.

The Body Shop states on its website: “The Body Shop collective are shocked and saddened to see war coming back to Europe. Russia’s act of aggression is unacceptable and is a direct violation of the universal human rights the world has fought so hard to protect and preserve. People of the world must unite; governments must act and stand together in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.”

The company’s franchise partner is providing support to colleagues in Russia who depend on The Body Shop for their livelihood.

The Body Shop has also added a donation page to its website in the US. Shoppers will find the page at checkout.

The Body Shop Supports Ukraine with Donations

The Body Shop is also supporting the Ukrainian people through numerous global efforts.

The Body Shop North America, which includes the US and Canada, has donated $50K to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, to support the organization’s humanitarian response in Ukraine. Nearby countries will be facilitating customer donations online and in-store.

The Body Shop globally has donated $100K to Children on the Edge for emergency relief. In addition, a truck filled with The Body Shop’s hygiene products has been sent to Romania where local partner organizations are providing supplies and shelter to refugees fleeing the war.

The Body Shop continues to support appeals from organizations, including the Red Cross, UNHCR, Plan International, Malteser International, and Kvinna till Kvinna.
